Hi Kang David!

I am Rex Yapi and from the Southern Highlands. I read your blog being published in the InfoTech column of the Weekender of The National of 15th July 2008.
With the help of a fellow wantok who is currenly studying at the PNG University of Technology, I managed to use his student internet access priviledge to log on to your blog. Here I am catching up with you and would like to share with you.
Firstly, this is a quote I gleaned from your 'KANGE NGA KONA'...''I am trying to do my little part as a Papua New Guinean to show some light at the end of the dark tunnel. If we can do something little to help each other, I think Papua New Guinea can be a friendly country prospering with all wantoks working hand in hand with a common goal to achieve gender equality.''
Brother keep the good work in raising our flag in a foreing land far beyond. Your words of encouragment have ignited a fire within a person like me who is an unfortunate school drop-out by the so-called education sytem in PNG.
I know the education system and every thing here (PNG) is bias and is always politics oriented. Every where we want to go is always brickwall.Thus, people like me I think will never have a change of being educated to a level which I always dreamt of.
Despite these circumstances, I personally trust myself.This is because I always have a geniune drive within me to keep pushing forward.Right now I'm a street mangii, but I belief that the good LORD has plan for me and will definetly eventuate as a right timing comes to be a very good citizen of my nation.
I am just making the above additional comments because your words of encouragement really stirred me up to say so. I could say that when PNG is directly locking horns with other nations in the race for technology,economy and other things your words to every PNGeans is really timely.I mean it is really a wake call for PNG from an elite who have100% heart for PNG.
Finally, you one of these rare PNGeans speaking up from the drawn curtains. Plis brother keep firing in the media and keep the good work up.
