Touching lives

THE Foundation for Rural Development (FORD, Inc) is touching the lives of countless people in rural communities in the Western Highlands province. FORD, under the management of Alphonse Pu, has reached areas where there are no Government services. The recent declaration of FORD’s association with Mount Hagen Eagles – once one of the prominent teams in the Highlands region – is a classic paradigm of some of those areas where FORD is working to minimise lawlessness. We recognise FORD’s efforts and hope that more Government funding for these kinds of non-profit organisations take precedence over other areas.
